WORKSHOPS AND EVENTS
Jill and Celia attended the Broadway Dance Center's 8th Annual Teacher Workshop in New York City this summer. As teachers, it's important to see what is "current" in the dance world and to continue to grow as teachers and choreographers. They took classes with Mia Michaels, Wade Robson, Brian Friedman, Luam, Dave Scott, Kelley Peters, Laurie Ann Gibson, Chris Judd, Germaine Salsberg, Josh Begasse, Sheila Barker, Luis Salgado and many more distinguished faculty members. Throughout their week in New York City, they toured Radio City Music Hall with student Alyssa Boezem (who will be attending the Rockette Intensive program this Summer). They saw four broadway shows including the Tony Award winning show "In the Heights". Jill's good friend Robin DeJesus was in the show, so they were able to meet the entire cast on the stage!! It was an amazing week! Look for Jill and Celia to teach original choreography from many of these choreographers and broadway show routines in the weeks to follow!
